The Green Schools Committee have been busy with their first task this year. It's 6 months since we set up the wormery and our red wrigglers have made nutritious compost from fallen leaves and the the food scraps we have been adding every week. The committee emptied most of the compost into buckets and added it to our pumpkin planters so that the next crop of pumpkins will grow really well. The whole school then got involved by collecting fallen leaves to bed down the wormery for the next batch of compost. It's been a great way to learn about how to manage food waste and good compost for healthy growth is made. Well done everyone!🎃🍁
