We celebrated Engineers Week from the 6th-8th of March. We learned about a variety of engineers and what each of the disciplines entail. Following on from this, we worked as civil, aerospace, and electrical engineers to design and engage in 3 investigations.
The civil engineers used marshmallows and cocktail sticks to create structures. The aerospace engineers designed and constructed a variety of paper aeroplanes before testing their work in a flight test. Finally, the electrical engineers used our school's Hot Wire kits to construct simple circuits, a lie detector and a burglar alarm.
