EU Grant Funding
Scoil Íde received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU. This funding contributed to the facilitation of the following:
- Replacement of old devices
- Investment in additional iPads
- The initiation and the gradual rollout of the replacement of whiteboards and projectors with Interactive boards
- Investment in subscription to the ‘ Zoom’ software package during COVID-19
- Investment in ‘Aladdin Connect’ - an interactive online tool utilised during COVID-19
- Investment in Beebots: devices to promote analytical thinking and develop problem-solving skills through play
All in Scoil Íde Primary School hope that continued funding will be provided to facilitate our school to progress as a digital school and to minimise the digital divide through supporting our learners to continue to progress and develop their IT Skills with the provision of the necessary resources.
